She conceived a solution using randomized frequency shifts and partnered with avant-garde composer George Antheil to synchronize these changes using 88-note player-piano paper rolls. They successfully mapped out a secure system and were granted US Patent 2,292,387, delivering an architecture that laid the foundations for all future secure wireless networking.
