Evidence Performed by Mary Somerville

Mary was placed into an expensive all-girls boarding school for a year to master basic writing and arithmetic for household account management, followed by local village enrollment to learn plain needlework. The rigid, rote pedagogical environment forced her to memorize grammar rules under restrictive physical conditions, failing to inspire her and causing her to promptly forget her initial arithmetic lessons due to a total lack of practical application. However, this institutional friction ignited her defiant drive to self-educate using her father's library. This project represents her Operational Baseline, where she was forced to execute the routine domestic duties and basic administrative compliance expected of a young lady of her social status.
